01 / MATERIAL
The King of Leathers.
Among the many types of natural leather, exotic leather is known as a premium material. Within that category, crocodile leather is referred to as the "diamond of leathers" or the "king of leathers" due to its beauty, strength, and rarity, making it a highly sought-after material for luxury goods.
Covered in a thick stratum corneum, the hide boasts excellent strength and durability, while also being light and supple. A moist, tactile feel that seems to cling to the hand is also part of the charm of crocodile leather.
02 / TEXTURE
The rich expression of "scale" patterns.
At ITTI, we use the soft-textured belly area. The pattern characteristic of crocodile leather is called "fu" (scale), and its shape and arrangement vary from hide to hide.
Take-fu (Bamboo scales)
Large, rectangular scales arranged in the center of the belly. They are called this because they resemble the nodes of bamboo.
Tama-fu / Maru-fu (Round scales)
Small, round-shaped scales found on the outer edges. They are also referred to as round scales.

Cut by the designer personally.
To capture the overall atmosphere and essence of the crocodile hide, we utilize every piece from end to end. The designer personally performs the cutting for each piece, imagining the expression that best suits the item.

04 / FINISH VARIATIONS
Distinct expressions in every finish.
From standard black to indigo-dyed crocodile and rare Himalaya, we introduce the variations of crocodile leather that differ based on color and processing.
CROCO
BLACK
The black, dyed with a focus on intensity, has a deep hue that seems to absorb light. Using a specially formulated wax and buffing, the shine is muted for a moist and soft finish. As you use it, the leather develops more luster and depth over time.

AI CROCO
INDIGO
Indigo-dyed crocodile leather where the raised and recessed areas of the scales stand out beautifully. Using indigo from Tokushima Prefecture, each piece is hand-dyed. As it is used, the luster increases, and the differences in aging across the textures add depth to the color.

NUME CROCO
NATURAL
A natural-colored leather created by re-tanning the crocodile base with tannins, giving it a finish close to vegetable-tanned leather. With use, it transforms from a natural pale hue to a lustrous brown.

HIMALAYA
WHITE / GRAY
Crocodile leather finished by utilizing its natural shades without dyeing. It is characterized by a gradation resembling the Himalayan mountains, depicted through the whiteness of the belly and the shades of gray. It is finished using delicate techniques such as bleaching and buffing.

NUBUCK CROCO
COLOR VARIATIONS
Crocodile leather with a nubuck finish. By raising the nap of the surface, the texture of the scales is emphasized, creating a finish with depth. As it is used, the nap naturally settles down, and the increase in moist luster allows it to change into an even more flavorful texture.

POROSUS CROCO
COLOR VARIATIONS
Porosus crocodile is characterized by a refined expression created by fine, uniform scales and an elegant luster. It is considered one of the highest-ranking materials even among crocodile leathers. By utilizing the different scale expressions of each part, you can enjoy the individuality of each piece.

ITTI's crocodile series uses materials provided by a reptile tannery in Japan that partners with the prestigious French company, Hcp.
A tannery is a specialized manufacturer that tans hides into leather. High-level specialized knowledge and technology support the quality of our crocodile leather.

Even with the same material and shape, the size, arrangement, and shading of the scales vary piece by piece. Please compare them in person, hold them in your hands, and select your favorite one.
