Terms of Use ＞
The following customers are eligible for tax exemption:
*Due to the revision of the consumption tax exemption system on April 1, 2023, the items and requirements for duty-free sales have changed. For details, please refer to the information from the Japan Tourism Agency .
[Foreign customers]
- The purchase amount must be 5,500 yen or more (5,000 yen excluding tax).
- The period of stay in Japan is less than six months
- The status of residence is either "Temporary Visitor," "Diplomat," or "Official."
- You must have a passport (with a landing permission stamp) or one of the following permits:
・Crew landing permit ・Emergency landing permit ・Distress landing permit ・Ship tourist landing permit
* Customers who can show the tax-free QR code on the Visit Japan website do not need to show their passport.
[ Customers with Japanese nationality ］
- The purchase amount must be 5,500 yen or more (5,000 yen excluding tax).
- The period of stay in Japan is less than six months
- You can prove that you have been residing outside of Japan for more than two consecutive years by showing an original "Certificate of Residence" or "Copy of Family Register." *The certificate must include the address number of your permanent domicile.
- You must have a passport (with a landing permission stamp) or one of the following permits:
・Crew landing permit ・Emergency landing permit ・Distress landing permit ・Ship tourist landing permit
[ Notes ］
- If you use the automated gates when entering the country and the entry stamp is not stamped on your passport, we will not be able to confirm your date of entry and will therefore not be able to provide you with tax exemption.
- If you wish to be tax-free, you will need to present a stamp or sticker to an immigration officer when you enter the country through the automated gates.
- If you purchase tax-free goods, you must leave the country within six months of the date of entry. If you do not take the goods out of the country within six months, they will be subject to tax when you leave the country.
- Some products are not eligible for tax exemption. Please ask the store staff for details.
- The online shop is not eligible for tax exemption.
